Crime mapping is used frequently in many areas around the world; New York, Africa and England to name a few. There are many advantages to using this approach in dealing with crime. It also has high applicability in a variety of criminal situations. Researchers focusing on such neighborhoods took deprivation, disorder, socio-economic conditions and demographic characteristics into consideration when identifying communities in need of dire attention.
